“ Years ago, I worked here as a dishwasher and prep cook. Today, I am a chef. Earth, Ken, A........... God bless you. I think of you often. I would not be where I am today without your teaching. One day, Ken asked me to keep an eye on the popularity of the soup. He said, "Young man, watch the soup, let me know how many we went through at the end of the shift. I made it a little different this time." I noticed the soup was moving quite a bit faster than usual. People obviously liked it. After service ended, as I was breaking down boxes out back, Ken walked past me, headed to his car. I said, "Boss! The soup was very popular!" Looking over his shoulder, with the confidence of a king, he replied, "I KNOW. I'M THE BEST." ”
